Convenor of the meeting, Shri Michael Lamjathang Haokip, Secretary General, TSA-GHQ, chaired the meeting and warmly welcomed the participants/representatives of the above mentioned student bodies.
Resolution No. 1: After lengthy discussion, it was unanimously decided to constitute a committee for coordination of the nine student bodies specifically to pursue the task for implementation of nine tribal language (MIL) subjects in the state.
Resolution No. 2: It was decided to name the committee as “Committee on implementation of Tribal Language (MIL) in Govt. Higher Secondary School”. The name of the committee may be reviewed in the next meeting.
Resolution No. 3: It was also agreed that the committee shall consist of 9 (nine) members wherein there will be 1 (one) Convenor and two (2) Co-convenors. The 9 (nine) members shall be a representative each from the 9 (nine) student body. The committee being formed for a specific purpose or objective shall not have a tenure and shall be dissolved by a joint meeting of the 9 (nine) tribal student bodies as and when the objectives have been achieved.
Resolution No. 4: The meeting unanimously resolved that the Convenor of the committee shall be from Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) and the two Co-convenors of the committee shall be from Siamsinpawlpi, General Headquarters (SSPP-GHQ) and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS).
Resolution No. 5: The meeting also unanimously resolved to have another round of meeting on 27th February, 2018 for finalization of the committee’s name and for further necessary action to expedite the recruitment process.
Resolution No 6: While appreciating and acknowledging the intention and efforts of TSA for organizing such a noble initiative in the larger interest of tribal students, it was unanimously resolved to entrust TSA for holding the next round of meeting.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from Miss Kimboi Haokip, Secy Finance, TSA-GHQ.
